Careers with the USDA-ARS Northern Grain Insects Research Laboratory

The Northern Grain Insects Research Laboratory (NGIRL) is a research unit of the Agricultural Research Service and United States Department of Agriculture.  NGIRL employs approximately 30 full time permanent employees and a varying number of student employees depending on the time of year (field season, etc.).

Many disciplines relating to agriculture and agricultural production are represented at NGIRL.  Soil Science, Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Microbiology, Entomology and Agricultural Engineering are some areas of research performed at our laboratory.
