WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) new eOffer Web site enables companies that want to become GSA-approved businesses, listed on GSA's Schedule 70, to respond electronically to the Schedule 70 solicitation for information technology services and products.

“GSA is committed to continually improving the contracting process for companies that want to do business with the federal government,” said Donna D. Bennett, Commissioner of the Federal Supply Service. “eOffer makes use of new technology which enables a company to prepare and submit its offer and interact with our contract specialists in a more effective and efficient manner.”

Consistent with the goals of the President’s Management Agenda to improve effectiveness and efficiency in government, eOffer saves time and money by eliminating the need for mailing, faxing, and overnight delivery of documents amended during negotiation.

One of the first paperless contract award options in the federal government, eOffer’s user-friendly, electronic screens guide businesses through the offer and submission processes, authenticating user identities and keeping proprietary information confidential.

eOffer, which has been online since May 17, demonstrates GSA’s capabilities as a leading federal acquisition center and resource for acquisition excellence. As the federal government’s central procurement agency, GSA is committed to innovation to improve government effectiveness and efficiency and provide the best value for agencies and taxpayers.
