GSA Relocation Board Announces First Public Meetings
GSA #10109 September 13, 2004 WASHINGTON -- The Governmentwide Relocation Advisory Board will hold the first three public meetings on Sept. 29, Oct. 20 and Dec. 1 in Arlington, Va., the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced today. Four public meetings will be scheduled next year by board, created under the Federal Advisory Committee Act to send GSA a report, with recommendations designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of federal employee relocation policies, reimbursements and allowances. Meetings will be accessible by phone. Members of the public who wish to comment may make arrangements to so, through the Designated Federal Official, for the October and December meetings. Information is available online at www.gsa.gov/travelpolicy. GSA is a centralized federal procurement and property management agency with 13,000 associates. Congress created GSA to help agencies improve efficiency and better serve the public. Today, GSA provides government-wide policy, and, on behalf of federal agencies, acquires office space, equipment, telecommunications, information technology, supplies and services for more than one million federal workers in more than 8,000 buildings in 2,000 U.S. communities.
