Drop Box

WHAT IS THE DROP BOX?

The drop box is a method that enables individuals to submit their applications and necessary documents without appointment or interview. Visas are normally processed and returned via TT Post courier within 5-7 business days.

Consular officers reserve the right to request that an applicant be interviewed. Use of the drop box does NOT guarantee issuance of a new visa.

The drop box is located inside the visa pavilion on Marli Street and is open daily 9:00 until 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. If qualified, applicants will be directed to pay the courier fee of TT$17 at the TT Post desk before using the drop box.

WHO MAY USE THE DROP BOX?

  • Children age 13 and under, whose parents have valid U.S. visas

  • Adults age 80 and over

NOTE: Applicants who were issued a visa once and were subsequently refused must use the appointment system. All applicants between the ages of 14 and 79 must schedule an appointment.

WHAT TO SUBMIT?

  • Receipt from ScotiaBank for the US$100 processing fee. The fee can be paid at any branch of ScotiaBank.

  • Passport valid six months beyond the visa application date

  • All previous expired passports with or without visas to the United States

  • Completed nonimmigrant visa application (DS-156)
  • One (1) passport-size photograph (attached to each visa application form) taken within the last 6 months, measuring 2" x 2" (roughly 50 mm square), with a white background and free of borders

  • Original birth certificate or custody document (for children)

  • Any application for a child should be accompanied by both parents' passports even if the child is applying through the father. At least one of the parents must have a valid visa and have travelled to the United States in the past ten years.

NOTE: Submission of any fraudulent document may render you permanently ineligible for a visa to the United States.
