Furniture Comprehensive Furniture Management Services

Comprehensive furniture management services help federal agencies with furniture and furnishings service needs. The array of services available include project management, interior design and furniture layout, assets management and asset maintenance, reconfiguration or relocation management,  and packaged environments.

The Comprehensive Furniture Management Services Schedule is a multiple award schedule.  The schedule number is 71 Part II Section K, usually abbreviated as 71 II K.  The available services are divided into six service groupings under Special Item Numbers (SINs) 712-1 through 712-6.  The service groupings are:

712-1  Project Management.   Contractors under the project management SIN provide coordination and management support for projects involving new facilities, reconfiguration, relocation, increasing or downsizing of office space, and similar activities. Services include but are not limited to development of overall project timelines, scheduling and coordination of project activities, needs identification, facilitating communications between parties and other management services.

712-2 Assets Management. Contractors under the asset management SIN assist agencies in developing, refining and maintaining systems for managing furniture and furnishing assets. Services include designing, installing and populating systems to track and manage office furniture and related inventories, using technologies such as bar coding, RFID, and computer aided facility management applications.  Contractors can develop or update asset management data through inventory and tagging of assets to be tracked.

712-3 Reconfiguration/Relocation Management. Contractors under the reconfiguration/relocation SIN provide the installation, disassembly, moving and reassembly services required to reconfigure offices, reorganize, consolidate,  warehouse and open new facilities. 

712-4 Furniture Design/Layout.  The furniture design/layout SIN services assist agencies in the selection and arrangement of furniture.  Services include furniture consultations, interior design, code compliance, and product specification.  Contractors can assist agencies in developing statements of work, requirements, salient characteristics, and evaluation factors needed to prepare a request for quotation.

712-5 Packaged Environments. Contractors provide a complete range of services to supply turnkey integrated office solutions.

712-6 Assets Maintenance. Assets maintenance services are for restoring, repairing, renovating, reupholstering, and cleaning office furniture, furnishings and equipment.
