The Office of Government Contracting and Business Development has
established an interim policy that prime contractors may continue
to take credit for a certified SDB until we process its re-certification
application, provided that the SDB in question applied for re-certification
before its original certification expired. If on re-certification,
the firm is declined, then that decision will be final and the firm
will no longer be allowed to be counted as an SDB. If the firm pursues
the reconsideration process or appeals process of the re-certification
final decision, and the outcome is that the firm is once again found
to be an SDB, then the firm may be counted again as an SDB certified
