RICIN PRECAUTIONS STOP MAIL TO

HOBSON’S WASHINGTON OFFICE

Constituents Urged To Call Offices, Use Website

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Hobson (R-Springfield) has been notified by the U.S Capitol Police that all outside mail deliveries to his Capitol Hill office in the Rayburn House Office Building have been suspended until further notice as a precaution stemming from yesterday’s discovery of ricin contamination in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Currently, Rep. Hobson’s Washington D.C. office remains open as federal agents and investigators continue to test Senate office buildings to discover the source of the contamination.

“Despite the current situation,” Hobson said, “constituent service is the main focus of my job as your Congressman, and I will continue to be responsive to the many calls, faxes, and e-mails I receive on a daily basis.”

Hobson said the disruption of mail to my Washington office may make it difficult to provide timely and informative responses, especially for time-sensitive casework, so he is encouraging all 7th District constituents to share their views through the 7th District website at www.house.gov/hobson as well by phone to his Washington, DC and Ohio district offices.

The Washington, DC office can be reached at 202-225-4324. The Springfield office can be reached at 937-325-0474, and the Lancaster office can be contacted at 740-654-5149.

I appreciate the understanding and patience of the residents of Ohio’s 7th Congressional District until this situation is resolved,” Hobson said.
