A few hours before addressing Congress and the nation, President Bush talks privately with British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the Blue Room at the White House, Thursday, Sept. 20. President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin walk out to address the media at the White House Nov. 13. "This is a new day in the long history of Russian-American relations, a day of progress and a day of hope," said President Bush in his remarks.
President Bush and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi conduct a joint press conference in the Rose Garden Sept. 25. "We Japanese are ready to stand by the United States to fight terrorism," said the Prime Minister. President Bush and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf address the media in the Cross Hall, Feb. 13. "The forces of history have accelerated the growth of friendship between the United States and Pakistan," said President Bush.
As they lay their hands over their hearts, President George W. Bush and Laura Bush listen to the playing of the National Anthem during "The World Will Always Remember September 11th Ceremony" in the East Room Dec. 11. "When we fight terror, we fight tyranny; and so we remember," said the President in the ceremony honoring the memories and families of those who died in the Sept. 11 attacks. President George W. Bush and Chairman Karzai walk along the colonnade in the Rose Garden after their joint press conference Jan. 28. "The United States is committed to building a lasting partnership with Afghanistan," said the President. "We'll help the new Afghan government provide the security that is the foundation for peace."
