Improving
People's Health by CDC will continue to carry out a range of activities to improve the nation's health, including: conducting research about underlying health behaviors and problems; developing, testing, and applying interventions; and tracking changes in health status over time. High priority health promotion topic areas to be undertaken or expanded by CDC include reducing tobacco use; increasing physical activity, reducing obesity, and providing practical guidance to the public about the influence of dietary patterns on health outcomes; promoting and improving the quality of life of older adults; and assuring the developmental well-being of children. |
