Medals of Science and Technology Laureates to Explore Education Issues in
Media Roundtable
National
Public Radio science correspondent Joe Palca will moderate a free-form
discussion Dec. 1 among some of the top science and technology leaders
in the nation. Seventeen
recipients of this year’s National Medals of Science and Technology will discuss
current education issues, especially those profoundly affecting the nation's
ability to produce high caliber scientists, engineers and innovators in key technology
fields. Following the roundtable, the laureates will be available for individual
interviews with journalists and science writers. For information on the laureates,

The roundtable highlights two days of activities for the laureates
while they are in Washington D.C. The awards will be presented at the
National Building Museum at a dinner starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1. This
