USGS 01105585 TOWN BROOK AT QUINCY, MA

  LOCATION

LOCATION.--Lat 42o14'52", long 70o59'52", Norfolk County, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on left bank 200 ft downstream from Miller Styles Road in Quincy and 0.8 mi upstream from Town River Bay.
DRAINAGE AREA.--4.22 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Water years 1972-86, 1999 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with telephone telemeter at station.
REMARKS.--Records fair except those for discharges greater than 50 ft3/sec, which are poor. Flows affected by unknown regulation. High flows affected by diversion to by-pass tunnel at site approximately one mile upstream.
COOPERATION BY.--Mass. Dept. of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Urban Parks and Recreation.
