downstream from Hubbard Avenue Bridge at Coltsville, 1.2 mi upstream from
Unkamet Brook, and 2 mi northeast of Pittsfield. Prior to Nov. 8, 1994, at
site 200 ft upstream.
DRAINAGE AREA.--57.6 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Discharge: March 1936 to current year. Prior to October
1945, published as Housatonic River at Coltsville.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 993.49 ft above sea

REMARKS.--Records good except those for estimated daily discharge, which
are fair. Flow regulated by powerplants upstream and, since 1949, by Cleveland
Brook Reservoir, usable capacity, 214,000,000 ft3, 5.4 mi upstream;
regulation greater prior to 1955. Diversion upstream from Cleveland Brook
Reservoir for municipal supply of Pittsfield since May 1950. Telephone and
satellite gage-height telemeters at station.
