Subject: HB-PC — CLARIFICATION OF REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS

This letter clarifies the instructions provided in Payroll Office Letter No. 00-13 regarding the reporting of information about reemployed annuitants in conjunction with the implementation of in FEHB Premium Conversion (HB-PC).

If an individual is not eligible to elect FEHB coverage, he/she clearly cannot participate in HB-PC as a reemployed annuitant. Thus, if you have not as yet submitted the required information on your reemployed annuitants, please include on your spreadsheet file only those who are in positions that convey FEHB eligibility. If you have already submitted your spreadsheet file of your reemployed annuitants, please submit a spreadsheet file deleting all reemployed annuitants who are not eligible to elect FEHB coverage. This will be accomplished by submitting a record for each of these individuals on a spreadsheet file and including a Delete ["D"] indicator, as described on page 11 of P-00-13.
