Participant Observation Study of Indirect Paraphernalia: Sharing/HIV Risk in a Network of Heroin Injectors

The research for this report was conducted by Philippe Bourgois (principal investigator) and Charles Pearson (ethnographic assistant), using the traditional participant-observation methods of cultural anthropology to access a network of some dozen homeless heroin addicts in San Francisco.
