Florida Springs Interdisciplinary
Science Study: This 4 page Fact Sheet, written by Brian G. Katz and others,
was published in 2003. It describes an integrated USGS science effort that is
building on the knowledge of Federal, State, and local partners to address serious
human health and ecological concerns regarding Florida's spring waters.
Florida's Springs - Aquatic Treasures!: This colorful tri-fold
pamphlet, prepared in 2003, highlights some of the current USGS science
research which is underway to address spring water quality and ecology issues
in Florida's springs. With numerous photos and minimal text, it is suitable for
anyone with an interest in springs. It is available from the Tallahassee office
upon request.
