Back to Basics: The Challenge of Reinstating 
Hepatitis B Vaccination at Birth

This computerized PowerPoint health education program was designed for physicians and hospital personnel to ensure that they are aware of the widespread availability of hepatitis B vaccines that do not contain thimerosal as a preservative, to underscore the rationale and importance of resuming the routine birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine for all infants, and to stress the importance of screening pregnant women for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg).
