Ranger District offers "Walk When the Moon is Full" series of interpretive walks through-out the year. These walks are based
on the book by Francis Hammerstom titled "Walk When the Moon is
Full", about taking her children on nature walks every month under
the full moon. The monthly interpreters along our walks range from foresters
to biologist, from scientist to historians, from poets to storytellers,
possibly everything under the sun, uh, the moon. This program has been

Yampatika
is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an understanding
of the natural and cultural resources of NW Colorado and a sense of
place through education, communication, participation and example.
Created in 1992, Yampatika represents a collaboration of organizations
supporting the use, preservation, and conservation of the natural and
cultural resources of NW Colorado.
