Grants and Funding
$30 Million Available for Public Health Research
Almost $30 million has been committed by CDC to
support innovative public health research aimed at promoting and
protecting the health of Americans—focusing on producing evidence that will help employers make better choices in wellness
programs.
CDC Awards
Funds for Genomics and Chronic Disease Prevention
Four states (Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, and Utah) have been awarded
cooperative agreements with CDC to support capacity building and program
planning using genomics and family history tools for chronic disease
prevention. The four states will work closely with CDC's Office of Genomics
and Disease Prevention (OGDP) and the CDC's National Center for Chronic
Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) to develop agency-level
capacity to integrate genomics into state and local public health chronic
disease prevention activities.
