About Us

The Office of Global Health (OGH), National Center for Environmental Health – Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was created in 2000. OGH established five global health activities for NCEH/ATSDR:
 
  • Reducing childhood lead poisoning;
  • Improving water, sanitation, hygiene, and food safety;
  • Improving urban livability: urban health and “megacities”;
  • Reducing micronutrient malnutrition; and
  • Improving emergency preparedness and response.
    NCEH/ATSDR OGH serves as a coordination, promotion, partnership development, and strategy development office.

OGH is led by the NCEH/ATSDR Associate Director for Global Health. The office is located within the Office of the Director at NCEH/ATSDR.
