Public Comment Sought on Plans for Green Spring
Colonial NHP is proposing to construct facilities for visitor use at Green Spring, the 17th-century plantation home of Virginia's colonial governor, Sir William Berkeley. This project would create an entry drive, parking lot, and three small buildings for visitor services and archeological research, as well as a paved congregating area and a trail leading to archeological resources and interpretive waysides throughout the site. Public comment on the plans will be accepted until October 15.

Hurricane Isabel Cleanup Contines
The National Park Service has initiated work to continue the removal of downed trees and general cleanup of damage caused by Hurricane Isabel last September. The work includes cleanup throughout Colonial National Historical Park, including along the Colonial Parkway and the tour roads at Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield.

Historic Triangle Shuttle Service Available Summer 2004
A cooperative effort by members of the Williamsburg area tourism industry will offer visitors to the Historic Triangle of Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown shuttle bus service to and around these destinations during the upcoming summer vacation season.

Sandy Rives Named Interim Superintendent
National Park Service (NPS) northeast regional director Marie Rust has appointed veteran park manager Sandy Rives acting superintendent of Colonial National Historical Park (NHP), which features Jamestown, Yorktown Battlefield and the Colonial Parkway in Virginia.
