NIDRR, Legislation and Policy

The NIDRR Long-Range Plan 1999-2003 is the guiding document for NIDRR-supported research. NIDRR's Long-Range Plan provides a framework for the agency's rehabilitation and disability research. Its major components are identified below:

Legislation

The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) administers research programs authorized under:

  1. Sections 202 and 204 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by PL. 105-220 and
  2. Assistive Technology Act of 1998, PL 105-394.
