The Plains
-- Heavy showers continue to impede fieldwork, including winter wheat planting and summer crop harvesting, across southern portions of the region. Farther north, mild weather is promoting winter wheat establishment, although subsoil moisture shortages remain a concern across the northern half of the High Plains.
