Request books, reports and videos by one of these methods:

Use the library catalog.

• Click on the Options button and enter your Z # and preference for method of delivery
• Find and display the record for the item.
• Click on the Request Item button
• The system will confirm your request with a full record display showing a confirmation message, or will let you know if there is a problem.

Use the New Book List.

• Use the checkboxes to mark the books you want, then at the bottom of the page enter your Z number and click "Request Marked Books."

Use the online Request Form.

• Enter your Z number
• Type or copy the information from the catalog, New Book List or other source

Send an e-mail message to the Research Library.

• Copy the information from the catalog, New Book List or other source
• Mail it, along with your name and Z number, to library@lanl.gov.

Call the Library Service Desk at 667-5809.

What happens next:

• if the book is on the shelf, it will be checked out to you and sent via inter-office mail. Or, you can also request that it be held in the library for pick-up, and to be notified by e-mail or phone.
  
• if the book is not on the shelf, a hold will be placed, that is, your name will be placed on a waiting list, and the book will be sent to you when it becomes available.

NOTE: This procedure applies also to reports, video and audiocassettes. Reference (REF) materials and journals do not circulate.
