Alternatives to Traditional Transportation Fuels 1999

(Data released in October 1999; next release on August 2002)

Alternative Fueled Vehicles in Use and Alternative-Fueled Consumption through 2001, Estimated Data-Revised (Tables 1 to 13). Tables 1-4 and 6-13 provide updates of alternative-fueled vehicle (AFV) and alternative transportation fuel (ATF) estimates for 1998, 1999, and 2000. These tables also present EIA's first estimates for 2001. The EIA has published estimates of AFV's and ATF's since 1995 in the annual report, Alternatives to Traditional Transportation Fuels. The tables below are numbered in accordance with tables in Alternatives to Traditional Transportation Fuels 1998, which were published on the EIA website in October 1999. Data on ATF refueling sites (formerly shown in Table 5) can be obtained from the Alternative Fuels Data Center (www.afdc.doe.gov).
