Arthur Ellis is Meloche-Bascom Professor of Chemistry
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his
co-workers conduct research on chemical sensors and
smart materials. Ellis is the coordinator of the education
and outreach effort of the NSF-funded Materials Research
Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) on Nanostructured
Materials and Interfaces, which is based at UW-Madison.
The focus of this effort is the development of instructional
and outreach materials that illustrate nanoscale science
and technology. A summary of projects and products
developed through the MRSEC may be found at http://www.mrsec.wisc.edu/nano.
