Jeremy London's TV Spots

Collage from Actor Jeremy London's TV Spots

Jeremy London (Party of Five, I'll Fly Away) and his twin brother Jason, volunteered to appear in two new 30-second TV counter-advertisements now available from the Office on Smoking & Health. Jeremy wrote and directed both spots: "Suffering" and "Anniversary."

You may select either of the 30 second TV spots "Suffering" or "Anniversary" for viewing. You will need RealPlayer ® to view these videos.

The spots were filmed in black & white, letterbox style (a technique using enclosed borders to give focus to the content) on location in Oklahoma City, and include London family members throughout. "Suffering" and "Anniversary" focus on the pain that losing someone from tobacco can cause to those left behind. The tagline reads: "Tobacco, It's Killing the Ones You Love." The spots were presented to focus groups of smokers during the concept development stage, and the final scripts and treatments incorporate revisions that were suggested.

Jeremy played Griffin on the Golden-Globe-winning Party of Five, and Nathan Bedford on the Emmy-Award-winning TV series, I'll Fly Away. He has appeared in several feature films including MallRats, and The Babysitter. Jeremy recently directed Jeffrey Wigand in the OSH educational video "Secrets Through the Smoke."

Jason starred in the year 2000 remake of the film Jason and the Argonauts. He also appeared in Dazed and Confused and in the films To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. Both Jeremy and Jason were listed in People Magazine's annual 50 Most Beautiful People edition.

For further information about obtaining or using the TV spots, please contact the Media Campaign Resource Center (MCRC) at MCRC@cdc.gov or 770 488 5705, ext. 2.
