Public Meetings on Tobacco Use Cessation

The Cessation Subcommittee held public meetings on the following dates from 8:30 am to 2:15 pm:

At the meetings the subcommittee obtained input on

  • evidence-based opportunities to promote tobacco use cessation,

  • evidence-based strategies to overcome barriers and challenges faced by your group to ensure tobacco use cessation is promoted, and

  • the types of evidence-based support the Department of Health and Human Services could provide to promote cessation, either through federal initiatives or through fostering public-private partnerships.
