The Policy Information Center (PIC) of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the policy and evaluation information resource for the leadership and staff of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) and other HHS officials.
In collaboration with other HHS libraries and information services, PIC also provides access to policy and evaluation information for a broad audience of Federal, State and local government officials, health and human services researchers, and practioners.
The policy research and evaluation collection is the centralized, authoritative HHS repository for all studies sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services as well as relevant studies of other federal departments and agencies. Selected privately-sponsored reports are also included.
PIC Highlights
PIC Highlights is a quarterly newsletter featuring articles on selected studies
sponsored by HHS. Articles focus on methodology, programs, or issues of current
interest and concern to the HHS community.
Performance Improvement
The Performance Improvement report series is the Department's annual report
to Congress presenting the fiscal year portfolio of evaluations completed and
in progress for each HHS agency and the Office of the Secretary. The report
is intended for policy and program decision-makers as a reference source to
recent evaluation findings with information on locating reports or contacting
the appropriate Federal project officials.
