Office of Inspector General Semiannual Report to the Congress
These reports summarize the Office of Inspector General's major activities, initiatives, and results for six-month periods beginning with October 1, 1982 through March 31, 1983 and ending with April 1, 1996 through September 30, 1996. Some topics covered in the reports are (1) Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)-related activities; (2) Social Security Administration (SSA)-related activities; (3) grants and internal systems; (4) unenacted legislative recommendations; (5) unenacted program recommendations; and (6) cost savings analyses. The October 1, 1995-March 31, 1996 report changes focus slightly, and reports on Operation Restore Trust, HCFA-related activities, Public Health Service (PHS) Operating Division-related activities, Administration for Children and Families (ACF)-related activities, Administration on Aging (AoA)-related activities, and general oversight activities.
