Science Learning Network

The Science Learning Network (SLN) is an online community of educators, students, schools, science museums, and other institutions demonstrating science education through inquiry. The SLN has recently expanded to include international members, outside of the framework of the original SLN project. These new museums are collaborating with the six founding SLN museums to create new resources for the SLN website. The six founding SLN museums are: the Franklin Institute Science Museum (Philadelphia), the Museum of Science (Boston), the Exploratorium (San Francisco), the Miami Museum of Science, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (Portland). The project incorporates inquiry-based teaching approaches, telecomputing, collaboration among geographically dispersed teachers and classrooms, and Internet/World Wide Web content resources. SLN receives funding from NSF and Unisys Corporation.
