Method OIA-1677: Available Cyanide by Flow Injection with Ligand Exchange

Final Method

On December 30, 1999 EPA approved Method OIA-1677 as an additional procedure for determining available cyanide.  This rule amends the Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants under section 304 (h) of the Clean Water Act.

Proposed Method

On July 7, 1998 EPA proposed a method that will improve it's capability to accurately measure available cyanide in wastewater through use of a ligand exchange/flow injection technique. This method offers an alternate approach to testing for available cyanide and is being proposed for approval for use in wastewater at 40 CFR Part 136.
