When an employee is scheduled for training, it is critical that the employee be available to attend. Substitutions or cancellations should only occur in emergency situations. Once an employee is confirmed in a class, other duties and activities need to be scheduled around the employee's attendance.

An employee who enrolls in a course of instruction may have to reimburse the Government for the costs incurred by the Government, in the event he or she withdraws or fails to satisfactorily complete the course.

The SF-182  is the source document for updating the employee's master personnel record when training has been completed.
