The Crop Genetics & Production Research Unit is involved in many cooperative projects with local producers as well as State and other Federal institutions.

Some of these projects involve cooperative research with Mississippi State University, University of Tennessee, Louisiana State University, University of Minnesota, Cotton Incorporated, Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board, and the United Soybean Board.

The two variety testing programs, The National Cotton Variety Test and the Uniform Soybean Variety Trials, conducted through the Crop Genetics and Production Research Unit rely heavily on volunteer participation to provide valuable data for their programs.  These volunteers also include local producers, State and Federal cooperators.
