DeadlinesNOTE: All proposals to the AST Division must be submitted electronically using FastLane. General information for Principal Investigators can be found by clicking here. Additional information for submitting proposals can also be found in the Grant Proposal Guide. When you submit your proposal in FastLane, please notify the Program Director by e-mail. Proposal Deadlines for FY 2005 Funding:
Proposers submitting to the 15 November deadline for Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Grants should specify that the proposal is in response to NSF 04-23 (the Grant Proposal Guide (GPG)). There is no specific program announcement/solicitation. In addition, proposers should select "AST-Division of Astronomical Sciences" and then "Astronomy & Astrophysics Res. Grants" as the organizational unit to consider their proposals in FastLane submissions, regardless of the research area of their proposal.
Proposal Deadlines for FY 2006 Funding:
Proposers are encouraged to contact a Program Director in advance of submitting a proposal. Warning: Proposals must be received at NSF by 5:00 PM the submitter's local time on the deadline date. If the deadline date falls on a weekend, it will be extended to the following Monday; if the date falls on a holiday, it will be extended to the following business day. Late proposals will be returned unread, with no exceptions. Please plan ahead; we are happy to receive proposals in advance of deadlines. |
