Braille

The Library has a refreshable Braille display (keyboard), a Braille embosser (printer--capable of printing Grade 1 or 2 Braille), available in the Computer Catalog Center -- LJ-108.


Closed-Circuit Magnification System (CCTV)

Closed-circuit magnification systems which prvides enhanced visual access to materials from the collections and the Employment Office are available in the following areas:

Main Reading Room -- LJ-100
Manuscript Reading Room -- LM-101
Newspaper and Current Periodical Reading Room -- LM-133
Book Service Area -- LA-5th floor
Disability Employment Program Office -- LM-107.


Kurzweil Reading Machine

Provides auditory access to materials from the collections. Available in the following areas:

Jefferson Building, Main Reading Room -- LJ-100
Madison Building, Law Library Reading Room -- LM-201.


Large Print Online Catalog Access

A VISTA Magnification System providing persons with visual impairments access to the Library's computerized catalog system is available in the Computer Catalog Center -- LJ-108.


Speech Synthesizer

A speech synthesizer capable of accessing the online Library of Congress Information System (LOCIS) is located in the Jefferson Building, Computer Catalog Center -- LJ-108.
