Xuming He
Program Director Xuming He obtained his Master's degree in mathematics and Ph.D. degree in statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently listed as a Professor of Statistics at the University of Illinois. His earlier appointments include a Lecturer and Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore, an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong, an advisory professor at the East China Normal University (China), and a faculty consultant at the Argonne National Laboratory. He is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. His research interests include statistical inference in regression models, robust statistics, dimension reduction, function estimation, and statistical applications in educational testing, dysphasia research, epidemiology, and microarray data analysis. He has also been involved in public software development of constrained function estimation as well as the Markov chain marginal bootstrap approach to quantile regression procedures.
