Algebra, Number Theory, and Combinatorics Program

Don James received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from MIT. He has been on the faculty of the University of Auckland and the Pennsylvania State University. He has also held a Humboldt Fellowship at the University of Göttingen, and visiting positions at King's College in London and at MIT. He joined DMS in August 2004 as a Visiting Scientist.

His research interests center around integral quadratic forms and orthogonal groups.
