Benjamin Mann received the B.A. degree in Mathematics from U.C.L.A. and the M.A. and Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Stanford University. He has been on the faculty of Rutgers University, Harvard University, Clarkson University, and the University of New Mexico. He has also held visiting positions at Stanford University and the University of Edinburgh. He joined DMS in September 1999 and has been a member of the permanent staff since September 2001.

His mathematical interests include algebra, topology, geometry, and their applications.
