Junping Wang
Program Director Junping Wang received his PhD from the University of Chicago in Mathematics. He has been a Professor of Mathematics holding an appointment from the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences of Colorado School of Mines since 1999. His research interests are in numerical methods for partial differential equations, iterative methods and high performance computing for linear systems of large scale, and computational/mathematical simulation of complex geo-systems. He has expertise in the area of finite element method/analysis, multigrid and domain decomposition methods, superconvergence, and numerical simulation of surface and subsurface fluid flows.
