Status:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service),
has developed a draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental
Assessment (EA) for the Kern and Pixley Refuges. On the left side of this
page is a link to the draft CCP/EA and its Appendices.
The public comment period for the
Draft CCP/EA is open from June 25, 2004, to July 30, 2004.

Purpose
of CCP:
As
part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, the Kern and Pixley Refuges
are required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish and
wildlife habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years.
