 The E-Bulletin announces key dates on which grant proposals are due at NSF for the current 4 months. These dates are subject to change; dates changed since original announcement appear in red. In most cases, the time between announcement and deadline is at least three months. Key dates for other periods of time (for example, for an entire calendar or fiscal year) can be viewed from the NSF Online Documents - Deadlines page. Further information on the programs in this publication is available from the offices listed for each entry; from the program announcement or letter referenced in each entry; from the annual NSF Guide to Programs, or from the NSF Home Page. You may also phone the NSF Information Center (703-306-1234, info@nsf.gov) for assistance in identifying the most appropriate office or staff member for any question you have concerning NSF's funding opportunities. Individuals who are hearing-impaired should call either NSF's Telephonic Device for the Deaf (TDD) at 306-0090 or the Federal Information Relay Service (FIRS) at 1-800-877-8339 for further information.  Program Deadlines: Unless otherwise stated in an announcement or solicitation, proposals must be received by the established deadline date. However, a proposal received after a deadline may be acceptable if it carries a legible proof-of-mailing date assigned by the carrier and the proof-of-mailing date is not later than one week prior to the deadline date. Dates in red are deadlines that have been changed since their original announcement. Target Dates: Unless otherwise stated in an announcement or solicitation, a proposal received after these cutoff dates will be reviewed, although it may miss a particular panel meeting. Dates Not Specified: Most NSF programs that do not have a specific deadline or target date will accept a proposal at any time of the year. Occasionally, a program's deadlines will vary. Listings for programs with no specified dates appear in the E-Bulletin at the end of each section. Please review associated documents for further information. Once a proposal is received at the NSF, it takes approximately 6 months for processing, review, and an award decision. |
