State Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) Administrator << Back to NAD Search
The person who provides legal and fiscal oversight for ICPC which regulates the interstate movement of children among foster care, adoption, residential treatment, or juvenile justice programs.

State Reunion Registry << Back to NAD Search
Provides contact information for State registries that allow adopted adults, birth parents, and sometimes birth siblings and adoptive parents to consent (or withhold consent) to have their identifying information from adoption records released. Not all States provide information from adoption records through reunion registries.

State Confidential Intermediary Service << Back to NAD Search
Provides contact information for court-appointed confidential intermediaries, through which adopted adults, birth parents, and other birth relatives can consent to release of information from adoption records, exchange information and/or make contact, if a reunion is desired. Many, but not all States have established confidential intermediary services.

State Adoption Exchange/Photolisting of Children Waiting for Adoption << Back to NAD Search
Adoption exchanges do not place children for adoption, but are organizations that provide adoption information that helps educate prospective adoptive parents and link waiting families with waiting children. Photolisting services provide pictures and brief descriptions of the children in the State's foster care system who are available for adoption and waiting for families.
