COMPUTER-COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH (C-CR)

Supports research into the sciences and technologies that facilitate the efficient representation and transmission of information through possibly unreliable media. The investigations funded by this program support innovation in a variety of different communication contexts, including wireless systems (cellular, satellite, etc.), wireline systems, and optical systems; research into the related fields of magnetic and optical data storage is also supported.
