The General Services Administration (GSA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are working together to consolidate FDA at the government-owned White Oak site in Montgomery County, Maryland. The new buildings will replace all the existing fragmented facilities which support the Office of the Commissioner (OC), the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), and the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). The development will consist of new laboratories, office buildings and support facilities. This consolidation project has been authorized through the FDA Revitalization Act and is funded through the GSA appropriation.
