General Information

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade provides a full range of consular services to the American citizen community in Serbia and Montenegro. Services include passport issuances, birth and death registrations, citizenship determination, voter registration, and notarial services. The Belgrade Consular Section also provides visa services to the citizens of Serbia and Montenegro including nonimmigrant visas, immigrant visas, and refugee matters.

Small blue arrowTravel Registration- IBRS, Travel registration is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. Registration allows you to record information about your upcoming trip abroad that the Department of State can use to assist you in case of an emergency. Americans residing abroad can also get routine information from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

WARNING TO VISA APPLICANTS: DON’T BE CHEATED

There are a number of “agencies” that offer visa applicants assistance in obtaining visas. These agencies are cheating their customers, and may get them into serious trouble.
