About Roland W. Bullen

Roland W. Bullen was sworn-in as U.S. Ambassador to Guyana on July 29, 2003, and presented his credentials on August 14, 2003. A career member of the Foreign Service with the rank of Minister-Counselor, his previous assignment was Deputy Executive Director in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs from September 2001 to July 2003. He has served in diplomatic missions in the Caribbean, Central and South America, Africa, as well as in Washington. (complete text)

Three Ways to Pay Your SEVIS Fee
Beginning on November 1, 2004, nonimmigrant students and exchange visitors (F-1, M-1, J-1) will be able to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee locally via the use of the Western Union Quick Pay service.  The service is currently available in over 130 countries worldwide and provides an additional payment option for many foreign students and exchange visitors. Applicants using this method of payment should bring the Western Union receipt as proof of I-901 SEVIS fee payment.


Payment may also be made with a credit or debit card through the Internet at www.fmjfee.com.  In addition, payment is accepted through the mail.(complete text)


Diversity Visa Lottery
Georgetown - The US Embassy is pleased to announce that registration for the 2006 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program will run from noon November 5, 2004 until noon January 7, 2005. The DV-2006 lottery will for the second year be conducted entirely by electronic means.  Paper entries are no longer accepted. There is no fee to apply. All applicants must apply online at www.dvlottery.state.gov.


The Diversity Visa Lottery makes permanent residence visas available to persons meeting simple, but strict, eligibility requirements.  Applicants for Diversity Visas are chosen by a computer-generated random lottery drawing. (complete text)
