Consular Services
Immigrant Visas

There will be an ongoing construction project at the main entrance to the US Embassy Singapore on Napier Road, starting August 28, 2004. During this time, the entrance will remain open for pedestrian visitors to the Consular section for American Citizen services and Visa services. However, please expect delays at the security gate due to the construction, and please exercise care when entering the Embassy. Consular section visitors are reminded not to bring anything to the Embassy other than required documents, as storage for other items will be very limited.

PUBLIC INQUIRIES

The Consular Section, Immigrant Visa Unit, accepts filing of I-130 petitions by US citizens (who have employment status or permanent residence status in Singapore) for their spouse, children and parents on Tuesdays and Thursdays, bewteen 9-11a.m. only.  Filing fees of US$185 are payable in cash.  Original documents (such as passports, marriage and birth certificates, etc.) must be presented at the time of the filing along with photocopies of these documents. Original documents will be returned. Required forms are the I-130 petition and a G-325A (for the petitioner and each beneficiary) available at www.uscis.gov. Once the I-130 is approved, consular processing will continue here if the beneficiary is resident in Singapore; if not, consular processing will occur in the beneficiary's country of residence.  Please note, that we cannot accept attorney-certified copies of I-129F, I-130 or I-140 approval notices for immigrant, fiancee or K3 visa processing. Cases approved by USCIS in the U.S. will be forwarded by the National Visa Center to this office for final processing.

THE DIVERSITY LOTTERY PROGRAM

The registration period for the DV-2006 Diversity Visa Lottery Program will begin at 12:00 pm EST (GMT-5) on November 5, 2004 and end at 12:00 pm EST (GMT-5) on January 7, 2005.

The Department of State will only accept completed Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Forms submitted electronically at www.dvlottery.state.gov during this period. This site will not accept registrations until November 5, 2004.
