The Consular Section offers a variety of services to the citizens of the United States and other countries, by means of its three sections. The citizens of most of the countries, including Peruvians, who wish to enter the United States must obtain a visa ahead of time.

The American Citizens Services Section aids Citizens of the United States in the renovation or expedition of passports, registry in Peru, offers information on security for those who travel to Peru, civil registry of those who are born in Peru, voter registry, social
insurance and veteran benefits, distributes forms, has a notary's office for documents which will be used in the United States, and other emergency services.

The Non-Immigrant Visa Section processes short term stay visa requests in the United States, for tourism, businesses, studies, or training.

The Immigrant Visa Section processes visa requests for those who wish to reside in the United States. Such visas will only be granted with base in the approval of a received request of the Service of Immigration and Naturalization of the United States.
