The Consular Section is located in the Embassy's Chancery in Abidjan, 5 rue Jesse Owens, in Plateau, between the Tiama Hotel and the French Embassy.

The Consular Section's main responsibilities are American Citizen Services (ACS), Nonimmigrant Visas (NIV) and Immigrant Visas (IV). These services are available to the public during the following office hours:

Monday-Wednesday-Friday	8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Tuesday and Thursday	2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Non-Immigrant Visas Interviews
Monday thru Thursday	8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Immigrant Visas Interviews (including Diversity Visas Lottery)
Monday thru Thursday	2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
