The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi provides nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services to the citizens and residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and immigrant visa services for the citizens and residents of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Umm al Quwain. The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi also provides immigrant visa services for certain citizens of Iran and Lebanon.
Nonimmigrant Visas
The Consular Section accepts applications for nonimmigrant visas on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., excluding U.S. and U.A.E. holidays. Applicants who arrive after 8:00 a.m. or have either incomplete application packets or improper photographs will need to make a new appointment.
All applicants must have an appointment for an interview. Residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Ras al Khaimah, Ahman, Fujairah, and Umm al Quwain must dial Emirates Call at 9000-2900. Residents of the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, and Iran must dial Bahrain Call at (00) 973-90000-797.
Immigrant Visas
The Consular Section accepts applications for immigrant visas at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, excluding U.S. and U.A.E. holidays. U.S. Citizens filing an immigrant petition for a spouse or child must come to the Embassy Consular Section between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on these days to schedule an appointment. Applications are accepted on an appointment basis only.
